Baby Sleep Plans & Support

What’s the perfect age to help your baby sleep better?

Some say to wait until 6 months, others say 4 months and some doctors even say it’s okay at 8 weeks! There are a lot of opinions out there about this subject, but the truth is there isn’t a perfect time. The best time for you and your baby is when you are ready to make a change. Plenty of parents are waiting for their baby to “grow out of it” and others are ready to make a change as soon as possible. Actually, the best time is when you are ready.

My baby support plans are ideal for little ones between 4 months and 16 months of age. If your baby is younger than 4 months of age, then I recommend a newborn support plan. If your baby is older than 16 months, then you’ll need a toddler support plan.

Maybe it’s a regression?

There are some major milestones and regressions that happen within this age range, so it can be tricky to navigate their sleep needs during this time in their little lives. There are some major developmental leaps including the well-known 4 and 8 month regressions along with the majority of teething, which inevitably leads to getting sick.

Maybe you’re here because your baby use to be a great sleeper and seemed to regress. Don’t worry, it happens to a lot of parents. You’re not alone! Maybe you’re not sure if your baby is going through a regression? Here is more information on all things related to sleep regressions and disruptions and how to handle these changes.

Babies change so quickly it can be hard to keep up and know what they are going through or how best to help them, particularly with sleep. I have worked with so many parents that waited to get help, hoping their baby would “grow out of it”. I often tell parents if you’re still struggling after 2-4 weeks, then let’s talk!

Baby Sleep Class

Sleep can be super complicated and overwhelming for parents that have too much information and don’t know what to do or try. Many of my parents are working and struggle to find the time to do the research into all the sleep factors and options for making improvements. If you find yourself struggling with where to start with your baby’s sleep, consider taking my Baby Sleep Class to get the basics under your belt!

I offer a range of sleep classes, including a baby sleep education class. This baby class is geared towards babies that are 3 months to 16 months old.

In this hour long class, we will discuss-

  • Basic sleep cycles and common regressions
  • How the sleep environment affects sleep and the changes you can make
  • Handling co-sleeping, room sharing and crib/room transitions
  • Safe sleep guidelines- what to worry about
  • How your baby is falling asleep and making appropriate changes
  • Schedules and routines

If this sounds like the perfect starting place for your sleep journey, then join me at my next class!

What is the process?

My full sleep support plans are not a “one size fits all” program. My process is focused on your sleep goals and your timeline. I work with you throughout the process to tailor each step to fit your family, giving you honest expectations and education each step of the way. Taking this process one step at a time and working together as a team, can help us modify and fine-tune your sleep plan and goals to ensure success.

All of my parents start with a detailed sleep evaluation questionnaire, which I use to help me better understand your baby and your family. This also helps me rule out any medical or behavioral issues, as well as helping me learn more about your parenting style and lifestyle.

Customized sleep plan So once you’ve completed the evaluation, I begin writing your customized sleep plan. This will help guide you, step by step to best help your little one get to sleep and stay asleep.

The next step is our private one-on-one consultation, where I will invite you to include all family members and caregivers to participate. It can take a village, so the more people on board and on the same page with helping us reach your sleep goals, the easier the process will be. So, we will have either a video or in-home consultation that will usually last 1-2 hours. During this time, I will discuss all the details of your plan and answer all your questions.

I make sure you have the right follow-up support via phone and email. I have learned that the main key to success to my plan is continual follow-up support. Once you have started your plan, I will be available for daily calls and emails to help keep you positive and moving forward. This also allows us to troubleshoot any issues and make adjustments that best fit your child’s needs.

Additional support services are offered, including day and night text messaging and in-home support at bedtime or overnight. Having the right support from the start can help ensure your success and follow through. So, for local families I can be in-home guiding you through each step, supporting you, and answering all your questions while you go through the process in real-time at either bedtime or for the whole night. I also offer overnight and daytime text messaging services for those parents wanting more on-demand responses throughout the process.

Graduation package for continued success Once your baby is sleeping well and our time together is over, I will send you a document. It will include all the important details about moving forward, including handling Daylight Savings Time, traveling, dropping naps, and more. This will help you navigate all the usual sleep concerns once our time is done. Although, if you ever need me, I’m always there for my families, now and in the future!

What is my method?

Perhaps you are wondering – what is my method, strategy, or philosophy when working with families? That is a great and important question to ask. When you hire someone to help you and your family, it’s important you know what to expect so that you’re comfortable with the process. Everyone does things differently and that is certainly true in the sleep coaching world, so do your homework and make sure you’re on the same page! To learn more about what strategies I use and my method when working with families here is my method and philosophy.

Wondering what might be right for you and your family? Let’s schedule a free sleep evaluation call, so I can learn more about you and your baby. Then, we can discuss what plan and strategy may be right for you!

I wanted to thank you for your wonderful manual. I have a baby girl of a year and a half who was very active during the day and was having problems sleeping through the night. Thanks to your program she’s sleeping all night, and though she sometimes wakes up, it is for very little time and she goes back to sleep on her own.

It’s been a blessing for me and my husband, but of course also for her, since she wakes up very happy and goes about her day happier than ever and as active as always, too. Again, congratulations on your new baby girl and thank you for your wonderful program. Wish you all the best all the way from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

I purchased Sleep Sense A few weeks ago and I am absolutely satisfied. The change was INSTANT, the same night I started reading the book was the night he started sleeping better and he keeps improving.

My wife and I are also sleeping better and we a better parents for it as we are able to enjoy our new son. Thank you for all your help. I will definitely recommend this system to any new parents

From 2 proud and well rested parents (and one cute little boy)

Why didn’t we try this sooner?! As we speak he is sound asleep in his crib – and has been since 7.15 pm. We are so pleased to get the evenings to ourselves again, and Tinius – who has always been a very happy boy – is even more happy now. It is now obvious to us that he didn’t get enough sleep before and that our difficulties getting him to sleep in the evenings were due to the fact that he was overly tired. Now we follow your advise on bedtime routines and everything else we learned from the sleep Sense program and are happy to say that your success rate is still 100% :-).
